General Motors (GM) and Honda announced the conclusion of a multi-year agreement on cooperation, which aims to create new generation batteries for electric cars.
It is noted that GM and Honda specialists have to improve all key characteristics of batteries. In particular, it is about increasing the density of energy storage and increasing the charging rate. In addition, it is planned to reduce the size of the cells and, consequently, the final battery packs.
Nothing is reported about the timing of the project. But it is said that a joint initiative will help GM and Honda in the development of the direction of electrified transport. The creation of new generation batteries will increase the power reserve of electric vehicles, which will make them more attractive to consumers.
