Review of the tablet Acer Switch 7 Black Edition

On the review of our Kim Korshunov, one of the most unusual gadgets of Acer is a hybrid tablet Switch 7 Black Edition.


Switch 7 Black Edition has a 13.5-inch touch screen with a resolution of 2256 × 1504 pixels, an Intel Core i7-8550U processor and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. Also there are 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD-drive.

The device is the first hybrid tablet format "2-in-1" with a silent system of liquid cooling and a discrete video card – it lacks fans. The thickness of the case is 10 mm, weight is 1.15 kg.

The Acer Switch 7 Black Edition is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the side panel and an AutoStand stand behind it – it does not have to be manually moved, it folds automatically if the tablet gently taps on the table. Thanks to this transformer it is convenient to lay out with one hand.

The keyboard has a backlight and is fastened with a powerful magnet if necessary. It is fabric, pleasant to the touch. Also, the tablet supports working with a stylus with Wacom EMR technology, recognizing 4096 degrees of depression.

Acer Swift 7 Black Edition, according to the manufacturer, can work up to 10 hours on one charge. As for the connectors, you can find a USB Type-C with Thunderbolt support, a separate charging connector, a USB 3.1 and a microSD card slot on the case.

Acer Swift 7 Black Edition can be purchased in Russia for 139 thousand rubles.
