International Data Corporation (IDC) released statistics on the global market for traditional personal computers for the first quarter of 2018.
It is reported that between January and March, inclusive, 60.4 million computers were sold globally. The same result was demonstrated in the first quarter of 2017. In other words, the market remained standing still.
The largest supplier is HP with 13.7 million units shipped and a share of 22.6%. In second place is Lenovo, which sold 12.3 million computers and took 20.4% of the world market as a result. Closes the top three Dell – 10.2 million delivered computers and 16.9% of the industry. Acer followed (4.1 million, 6.8%) and Apple (4.0 million, 6.6%).
